Hopping back in the saddle again...!

Wow - it's a little chagrining to see my physical state-of-play 14 years after my first foray with Dr. Bernstein.

I'm the heaviest I've ever been, and enough is enough.

At my heaviest in July 2022: weighing in at a mighty 230 lbs.  I just can't take it anymore.

I'm 54 years old and dreading going clothing shopping, when I'm maxing out at the 2X size for tops and sweaters, and size 18/20 for pants.  How did this happen - again?!

Okay, so after retiring from public service in 2012, I embarked on my own consulting business.  Amazing success and rewarding work, but the stress, long hours, travel and the regular challenges of business ownership have resulted in zero time for work/life balance.

Not a good executive I guess: I haven't managed to implement that aspect of my life.  I don't even blame the pandemic for my weight gain: I've just been totally consumed with my work, and ingesting the stress of it all - and of my clients, their issues, etc.

That's my new business and personal strategic goal: address me first.

So starting March 1st, when I return from my last fiscal year travel junket, I restart Dr. Bernstein.

With shiny new injectables through the Dr. Bernstein At Home program, and reviewing these posts for my tried and true grocery list and approaches, I'll be off and running to get back down to my 2009 target weight of 140.

Enough of putting everyone else before myself.

I deserve to be healthy and feeling and looking my best.

Target Goal: 140 lbs
Clothing Size: Pant size 8 / Top Medium

So, back at it with regular monthly updates and pics to come on my progress.  Here's to 2023 and beyond!
