Bridesmaid dress shopping

One of my big motivators this year is that I'm in my BFF's wedding party.  On Saturday, the best-gals along with the bride and groom, went dress hunting. 

After pulling 6 optional dresses, we found the winner.  A princess cut ballroom gown, shape hugging with a ribbon at the waist.  Classic and lovely.  I felt great in the dress - it's going to be stunning.

While I was the model for the initial model (with the dress at a loose 14) I can't wait to get down to my fighting size 8 and rock this dress - and the wedding.

So - lots of No-Fat Jello for me now - for lots of champagne later!

Post-diet impacts

Well, it's been a month of "maintenance", and things are going well. While I didn't last long on the Bernstein-sanctioned program approach - opting instead for my own Portion.And.Calorie.Control method - I am staying the course at 140. I must say that I do need to get back to the meal tracking and CalorieCount.com data inputting, to make sure I stay on track. As I'm reflecting on the diet though, and meeting up with others here in Ottawa who have also done the program, I've noted a few things. Decreased Potassium I've heard from some that they are experiencing some ongoing "cold" sensations. Cold hands and feet. Perhaps due to the decreased potassium intake, one lady theorizes. I can't say that I noticed that until today. My hands are little ice cubes, and I'm dressed quite warmly. No signs of a cold coming on either...strange... Week 19 of the diet / Week 1 of Maintenance

On Tuesday I went in for my Maintenance consultation. I was so excited to learn about all the good things that await me when I get to my goal weight. I was feeling very desperate to start eating some other foods. I think I was feeling quite deprived due to the summer traveling we were doing. Montreal, with all the fine restaurants; friends visiting with wine and bbqs, and my daughter's upcoming birthday, replete with cake and snacks.  I arrived and weighed in at 49.5 lbs - wow, only 9 more lbs to go! The nurse complimented me and said I was one of the success stories, and if I wanted to, could start the program right away. WOW!!  I was ready - pumped - psyched, and listened eagerly to the program breakdown.
